About the Ministry
The Student Ministry at First Baptist Church is designed for students in 6th through 12th grade who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ while building lasting friendships with other believers. Through engaging Bible teaching, worship, small groups, service opportunities, and fun events, students are encouraged to develop a faith that is genuinely their own. Our desire is to partner with families in helping students know God’s Word, love Christ deeply, and confidently live out their faith in every area of life. Whether a student has grown up in church or is visiting for the first time, they’ll find a welcoming community where they can belong, grow, and be challenged to follow Jesus.

Led by Student Pastor Todd Wiechmann, our Student Ministry leadership team is passionate about helping students develop a strong biblical foundation that will guide them throughout life. Their heart is to create an environment where students are known, loved, challenged, and equipped to become lifelong followers of Jesus Christ. Through faithful teaching, genuine relationships, and intentional discipleship, they strive to point every student toward a deeper relationship with Christ and greater involvement in the life of His Church. Students gather every Sunday morning for Sunday School built just for them, digging into God’s Word together in a space that’s theirs.
